Laser Vein Therapy

Now men and women alike are making unsightly facial and leg veins disappear. No more injections are ever needed. With the most advanced technology, a unique design and a longer wavelength, the Cutera CoolGlide can safely and effectively treat both tiny superficial face veins and deeper blue leg veins on men and women of all skin tones.

How does vein therapy work?
The Cutera system deliver pulses of light energy, which causes the blood within the vein being treated to clot. This destroys the blood vessel, and it is left for the body to reabsorb. Blood flow is then redirected to veins deeper below the skin's surface, where it should be.
What does vein therapy feel like?
Some patients will describe the sensation of vein therapy as simply a pinch or a sting. The area is cooled with the laser handpiece and cold gel. This process is easier and much more comfortable than injection therapy. Typically topical anesthesia is not needed. Following the treatment, the pain is minimal to nonexistent.
How many treatments will I need?
Often patients find that one or two treatments are sufficient. However, the number of treatments necessary depends on the number, color and size of the vessels. After initial therapy it is wise to continue to have touch up treatments whenever you see new veins developing.
What are the possible side effects?
Many patients report few if any side effects, those most commonly noticed are slight reddening and local swelling of the skin. These effects typically last less than 24 hours. Some patients may experience bruising and, in rare instances, blistering may occur.
When will I see results?
Most patients find that the majority of the treated veins have shown significant improvement within two to six weeks. However, your final results may not be apparent for several months. The veins destroyed will not come back, however new veins can form. These veins too can be removed with the Cutera CoolGlide laser.
