How does Cutera's Titan work?

Titan uses a safe infrared light to heat the dermis well below the skins surface. This heat causes the body to create more collagen for up to 6 months, giving the skin a tighter more youthful appearance. During the procedure the skin's surface (epidermis) is protected through continuous cooling with the Titan handpiece.

What does Titan feel like?

When the pulse of light is delivered most patients will feel a continuous warming to the area being treated. After the warming the area is cooled with the handpiece. If treatments become uncomfortable, the provider can change settings to suit the patient's comfort level.

How long does the procedure take?

The procedure takes roughly one hour.

Are there any side effects?

After the treatment you may experience a slight redness that will disappear within a few hours.

How many treatments will I need?

Most patients will have optimal results with two treatments. However, some patients may need a third treatment depending on the area being treated.
